FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear answers.
No fine-print surprises.

What the site covers, how to use the resources, and where the boundaries are.

What does DefensePodcast.com cover?

We connect military defense context, country defense and civilian resilience, self defense planning, cyber defense habits, and responsible education about firearms, knives, and martial arts. Each topic path explains what it covers and where its limits are.

Where can I listen to the podcast?

The reading library is available now. Published audio will be listed on The show page when recordings are available. There are no playable episodes or third-party listening listings on this site yet. Our current RSS feed is an article feed, not a podcast audio feed.

Is this a training course or personalized advice?

No. The site provides general educational reading, source references, and planning prompts. It does not supervise training, assess an individual threat, provide legal advice, or replace qualified professionals. Our disclaimer explains the boundaries.

Do you teach weapon-use or fighting techniques?

No. Firearm coverage focuses on secure storage and responsible course selection. Knife coverage is escape-oriented awareness. Martial arts coverage concerns choosing a healthy learning environment. We do not publish attacking, disarming, or weapon-use instructions.

Are the articles and resources free to read?

Yes. All current articles and printable planning resources are open-access. There are no account requirements, payment screens, or email signup forms. Start with Defense Field Notes or the printable toolkit.

Does the advice apply in every country?

No single page can describe every jurisdiction or individual situation. Sources are labeled by organization and context. UK emergency guidance, U.S. safety resources, and NATO institutional descriptions have different scopes. Check relevant local information and obtain qualified advice for your situation.

How do you choose sources?

We prioritize relevant primary sources, preserve their scope, and distinguish factual guidance from our own planning exercises. A source link is not an endorsement of every position held by that organization. Read our editorial policy and source library.

How can I follow new content without signing up?

Add our RSS feed to a feed reader. It includes the full text of the ten Field Notes articles and entries for substantive site pages. Follow via RSS explains the process without asking for your email address.

Can I print or download the checklists?

Yes. Each toolkit page has a print button and a plain-text download. Print layouts remove navigation and decorative panels. Blank checkbox shapes are for marking on paper, not data-entry controls. The website does not save a completed plan.

How do I suggest a topic or report an error?

Email [email protected] with the relevant page, the passage in question, and a source or explanation. Do not send passwords, weapon storage access details, personal case files, or urgent requests for emergency help.
